Goose and I took a sewing class and it all grew from there.
I have never been a ‘crafty’ person. My paint nights with Goose and/or other friends, can attest to that statement. The frustration of seeing something in my mind and not being able to reproduce it on paper is actually… well more than frustrating. My mom was a great artist! Why the hell did I not get that gene? Anyway, I digress.
My first project for myself was to sew an apron (yes the photo is an apron).
I went to Michael’s to find some material and thought the funky paint spray could hide some flaws. The pink ‘binding tape’ (whoa look at my new vocab) was also another sewing tool that will prove useful. I kept it to remind myself of my humble beginnings.
At this point I realized, I need to learn how to sew a straight line. From this thought came pillows. and more pillows. and so many pillows I had to start giving them away to friends, neighbors, and work mates.

Now I have started to join craft fairs to see if I can sell a pillow, and in my opinion, being able to hold a pillow in your hand is always better than just a photo.
